Ten A-level Art students from Ernesford Grange Academy have just finished exhibiting their wonderful artwork at this year’s Multi Academy Trust Art show. Being held at St. John the Baptist Church in Coventry City centre was a truly magical experience. The 14th Century venue is truly an amazing place that really created a calm, peaceful atmosphere, where visitors were able to really appreciate the fantastic work on display.
At the private view, the Headteachers from each school awarded a special certificate and voucher to a student of their choice whose work really stood out. The current CEO of the trust, Claire Turpin also presented the Tomes Award, an honorary award named after the first CEO of the MAT, Wendy Tomes, who also attended the event. This special award was given to a Ernesford Grange student, Iwona. She produced an outstanding selection of work using a wide range of media, including paint pastel and charcoal to produce some exceptional still life and portraiture work.
