Congratulations to our year 11 students who have just collected their GCSE results.

We are incredibly proud of our 2019 cohort whose results reflect the improvements in our school over the last few years.

The percentage of students achieving at least a 4 in both Maths and English has improved by approximately 10% and the percentage achieving at least a 5 in both has nearly doubled since 2018.

Our Attainment 8 score has improved by 5 points meaning on average students achieved 5 grades better this year than last year.

Our top achieving students include:

Josephine Awosanya – 9 in English Literature, 8s in Maths and English Language, L2D* in Health and Social Care, three grade 7s and two grade 6s

Emily Wicks – 8s in Maths, Biology and Physics, five grade 7s and one grade 6.

Ellie Muir – 9 in English Literature, 8 in Biology, two grade 7s and 4 grade 6s.

Scott Clarke – 9s in Maths, Biology and Physics, 8 in Chemistry and all other subjects at grade 5 or above.

Well done to all students and staff for their commitment and hard work.

Head Teacher - meets group of pupils

We make no apology for our high expectations of positive behaviour and effort from our young people as it is our aim to send every child that comes to our school out into the world equipped with the core values and characteristics that will see them achieve success in whatever career they choose.

Our teachers and support staff are committed to making a difference to the life chances of every young person in our academy and with the vital support of parents reinforcing our values we are confident that the students of Ernesford Grange will achieve the excellence that we are all striving for.
