What is Parents’ VOICE?

(Parents’ Views, Opinions, Information, Communication and Education)

        It is an informal group that gives parents the opportunity to meet, discuss and receive information on various issues such as;

  • helping to improve communication/links between the school and home
  • the opportunity to put forward opinions /requests/suggestions
  • giving parents more involvement within the school
  • sharing their concerns
  • what improvements/changes they would like to see
  • a better understanding of what goes on in school
  • a link to the school Governors via the Parent Governors

    Parents’ VOICE started five years ago and since then we have been working together on a number of issues including:
  • An input into the school reporting system
  • A school calendar for parents
  • Raising the schools public profile
  • Literacy Events to help parents/carers support their children
  • Information about Sexual Health education
  • Advice on keeping children safe online
  • Consultation on school catering
  • Consultation on the new Uniform
  • Information on plans for the new school build
  • Regular updates on inspections and the move to Academy status
  • Celebrating achievements

All meetings are held in the staff room, they start at 6.00pm and tea, coffee and biscuits are provided
