Headteacher Welcome

Welcome to our new, much improved website, I hope it provides a flavour of what our academy is about; a school community striving hard to achieve the best outcomes for its young people through developing a culture of respect, determination and kindness that permeates everything we do.

There has never been a more exciting time to become a member of our school community as we continue to develop the quality of the education that every young person will experience.

High expectations and belief that every child can achieve are at the forefront of our vision to provide an excellent learning experience for everyone in an academy of which we can all be proud to belong.

At Ernesford Grange Sixth form, we pride ourselves on providing an engaging, diverse and successful learning experience for every student. Our students experience excellent teaching in a wide range of subject choices and the opportunity to take part in an exciting extracurricular programme.

In our most recent OFSTED inspection, the Sixth Form was judged as 'Good' and inspectors were really impressed with the attitude of our students.

We take the time to understand each student’s individual needs and work closely with them to provide the opportunities and support they need to be successful.

The academic side of the 6th Form is very important to us and results have always been impressive with the majority of student choosing to continue their education at university or as part of an apprenticeship scheme.

In addition to their excellent academic attainment, we are very proud of our students’ extra-curricular achievements.

This year, our Head girl received the ‘Student of the year’ award in the Employability UK programme and James Aitkin was a winner at the Rotary Awards for producing one of the top four A Level projects in the city.

We are very proud of all of our Sixth Formers and their achievements.
